Since the rewind button on the TV remote doesn't work for real life, I guess we will just have to push on. However I can break down some of the highlights from the last 3 weeks.
July 4th Weekend
We headed up to the lake house for a nice extended weekend. Both of Sara's brother brought their lady friends and her aunt and uncle stayed at the house as well, so it was pretty full. It was a little cool for a July weekend, but fun regardless. We blew up our new raft and launched it one afternoon for some much needed lounging. I say 'launched' because the raft is roughly 10' x 13'. It has 5 seats around one end and a large raft area on the other to lay on. We comfortably had 8 people on and could have maybe took one or two more.
For fireworks we usually watch the neighbors around the lake fire off whatever arsenal they could get their hands on for the year. There are maybe 8-10 consistent people who shoot off fireworks every year. And of course where there are fireworks, you will find stupid. The common error is watching people light the firework, and then run as it falls over and starts shooting at the house. One guy took it upon himself to casually walk up to the firework, as it was flopping around and going off, and proceed to kick it with his foot to straighten it back up. Of course he had to look down inside it first to see if anything was left. Thankfully it was done by the time he reached it. Of course this didn't surprise me...as the same guy was helping his 3 year old son hold a roman candle as it was going off earlier in the day.
I had to remind myself that these people also vote
Schultz Family Reunion

After the 4th we came home for a couple days to regroup and headed back up to Pokagon State park for the 25th annual Schultz Family Reunion. This event provided many firsts for our little man
- first stay in a hotel
- first swim in a pool
- first time meeting the family
Overall he did much better than anticipated and caused us little headache. We also had our last baby shower that my mom threw (she had it later so more family could attend). Mr. Man ended his last shower in style. On top of the the traditional shower games and gifts, he also received a book for each person to help expand his library, and a personalized onesie that each person decorated as part of one of the games. Below is a collage of the fine choices that he now has in his wardrobe.

Another Wedding
This marked the second wedding now in two months that he has attended. Unfortunately he didn't sleep through the entire thing like the first, but after a bottle and little walking around, he feel right asleep.
Weekend of Nothing
This past weekend we topped it off with a weekend of nothing. A couple errands here and there, plenty of naps, and a lot of play time....and dirty diapers, spit up and multiple outfits for mom, dad, and son. The joys of parenting.
That is it for now. I will try and get some more pictures up for everyone to enjoy soon.

-Yeah, but you know they voted Republican...
Sorry, I had to say it.
Oooh politics....let the games begin!
Before you two get started, this comment had no tie to either political party. I am sure there are just as many democrats that would do the same thing.
