So we have had lots going on in our lives the last couple of weeks and we will post a blog about them soon, but I wanted to give an update on Noah since he had his two month check up yesterday. The above picture was taken a couple of days after he turned two months, but it is close enough. Each month we are going to take a picture on the same quilt with the same monkey so we can track how much he is growing. We got the idea from my cousin's blog, thanks Elizabeth!!!
The basics stats are weight: 11lb 9.6 ounce (which puts him in the 41%), length: 22.5 inches (28%, but to me he seems really long), and finally head size: 39.8 cm (39%). So overall Noah is again a very proportioned baby as the doctor puts it. She was very impressed by his neck control and his ability to push his chest off the table when she put him on his tummy. I was proud since we have "baby boot camp" a couple of times a day to get his muscle more and more developed.
The shots were not that much fun at this visit. He got three vaccines, two shots and one by mouth. Luckily they had two nurses come in and give the two shots at the same time so it was over quickly. I was able to hold him and calm him down right away and the Tylenol I gave him before the appointment helped to put him right to sleep. The rest of the day he was a little fussier than normal, but not as bad as I was expecting.
His sleeping patterns are still pretty consistent. He naps 4-5 times a day for an hour to two hours at a time. He goes to sleep most nights around 8:30 to 9:30 (depending on if he takes a nap between his last two feedings or not) and will sleep till 2:30 to 4:30. He usually starts his days when Eric is leaving for work at 7:30 so I am getting a little more sleep these days as well.
Noah has done quite a bit in his first two months of life and he seems to adapt pretty well to all the things we put him through. We will post a blog soon about some of the new things he has done the last couple of weeks, until then enjoy the picture below of Noah showing off his bike riding skills (imagine him kicking his legs and it really does look like he is riding a bike holding onto the handle bars)!

Maybe I'll have a chance of not having to strain my neck looking up at him when he's an adult after all!
