Baby Shower - Taylor Style

This past weekend marked the first shower for Sara and baby. Sara's mom threw a shower for the Taylor/Snodgrass side of the baby's genes. We are extremely grateful to her brother Bill for hosting the event, even if there was a $500 deposit towards damages and cleaning fees. Thankfully everyone kept the mayhem to a minimum, and a cleaning crew magically appeared at the end, so we were able to get our deposit back.

The theme of the shower was 'boy or girl?' Guests were asked to were pink or blue depending on what they felt we were having. Votes were tallied and the blues were victorious for this gathering. Guess we will see if everyone is right in a month or so. There was a nice spread of cake, cookies, and other treats to satisfy Sara's growing sweet tooth. I am sure they played games and did all that other fun jazz, but I was not there to enjoy it all. As soon as the guest arrived, then men decided to scatter. Funny how that happens, huh. The Taylor men took a world wind tour of greater Indianapolis while my dad and I took a drive over to Noblesville for a short photo excursion around downtown.

In the end it was a wonderful weekend. We were surrounded by family and friends with whom we were able to share our happiness with, and we were blessed with the outpouring of gifts we received over the weekend. Thanks again to all who came to celebrate with us, and to Sally, Meg, Lynn, and Bill for putting together a great event.
